VANADIUM(III) OXYCHLORIDE - MAGNETIC, OPTICAL AND ELECTRICAL-PROPERTIES - LITHIUM AND MOLECULAR INTERCALATIONS

摘要
Single crystals of vanadium oxychloride have been prepared by reaction between VCl3 and V2O3. An antiferromagnetic behaviour is observed (TN = 150 ± 5 K). Optical and electrical measurements have shown VOCl to be a semi-conductor (∼ 2 eV). The resistivity at room temperature is 5.107Ωcm. Lithium can be intercalated electrochemically or through the butyllithium technique. A definite compound Li0.80VOCl was characterized. Pyridine leads to similar intercalates as in FeOCl. © 1979.
