Casson nanofluid flow and heat transfer at a stretching sheet with variable thickness and magnetic field in the presence of variable fluid properties is analyzed. The governing non-linear coupled equations with appropriate boundary conditions are initially cast into dimensionless form by similarity transformations and then the resulting non-dimensional equations are solved numerically by the Keller-box method. The obtained results are compared with the available results in the literature for some special cases and are found to be in excellent agreement. The effects of the pertinent parameters on the velocity, temperature and nanoparticles volume fraction fields are analyzed graphically. The analysis reveals quite interesting effects of the variable thickness parameter and the velocity power index parameter on the flow, temperature and nanoparticle concentration patterns.
