The patient whose case is presented here appears to be the youngest person on record to have sustained an avulsion of the attachment of the posterior cruciate ligament to the femur as the result of a hyperextension injury of the knee. The patient also had a tear of the posterior capsule and peripheral detachment of the medial meniscus.
