摘要
The relative rates for the addition reactions of the malonyl radical to substituted styrenes induced by cerium(IV) ammonium nitrate (CAN) and tributyltin hydride have been determined. The two processes exhibit practically identical ρ+values (-1.05 and -1.06), thus suggesting that the coordination between the metal and the radical does not play a significant role in the CAN-promoted oxidative additions. © 1990, American Chemical Society.
