摘要
Antioxidant property of Meyna spinosa Roxb. ex Link leaf was determined by using UV-Visible and Electron Paramagnetic Resonance (EPR) spectroscopy. Further the trace elements present in it were determined by using Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS). The concentration of the antioxidant activity, IC50 was found to be 563.23 mu g/mL and the trace elements detected were Fe, Zn, Cu, Mo, Cr, Mn. Role of antioxidants and trace elements were discussed with reference to the traditional knowledge.
