摘要
Wound stress causes an initial decrease in the uptake and subsequent incorporation of radio-labelled methionine in leaves Of C3 (peanut and soybean) and C4 (sorghum and maize) plants. A four-hour incubation of excised leaves at 25-degrees-C permits them to recover from wounding and thereby facilitates monitoring of changes in protein synthesis caused by heat shock or other types of environmental stress.
