Osteochondritis dissecans in the distal femur is a well-known entity. A similar lesion in the acetabulum is a very rare condition. A report of two cases of osteochondritis dissecans in the acetabulum in young women is presented. Tomography, computed tomography scanning, and magnetic resonance imaging are all valuable in the diagnosis of this condition. The stability of the fragment can be evaluated with arthroscopy, which determines the treatment. In stable fragments, not bearing weight leads to full recovery, but this can take several months.
