摘要：

The yield-line method is widely used for the analysis and design of reinforced concrete slabs. The distribution of support reaction has hitherto not been found, and here a method for the compatible reaction is described. The solution for the reaction and the attendant bending moments over the yield-lines also lead to the solution for the hitherto unsolved problem of the degree of orthotropy in the slabs.
