摘要
Conductivities have been measured for glasses in the AgI-Ag2O-MoO3 system at pressures from 0 to 10 kbar, and in glasses previously densified at 50 kbar. All the glasses show a progressive decrease in conductivity with increasing pressure. The activation volumes for Ag+ ion migration fall in the range 2.8-2.1 cm3 mol-1, decreasing with increasing AgI content. Similar decreases in conductivity were brought about by densification, indicating that new glasses can be prepared with properties dependent upon their pressure history.
