FRITZSCH-LIKE MASS MATRICES WITH NONZERO 22-ELEMENTS

摘要
We have considered Fritzsch-like quark mass matrices with non-zero 22-elements in both the U- and D-sectors in order to accommodate current experimental constraints on m(t)phys and CKM matrix elements. It is shown that such matrices can accommodate m(t)phys in the range 90-200 GeV, apart from reproducing \V(us)\, \V(cb)\ and \V(ub)/V(cb)\ in the range 0.05-0.12, with \V(ub)/V(cb)\ less-than-or-equal-to 0.07 when 22-elements is taken to be non-zero only in the U-sector.
