Dictatorship and Testimony: a reality in Latin American Literature

Begun of problematization about the two in the true sense of literature of evidence -a hillside of this literature located in the period 1960-80, whose north- American critic call of testimony literature and the other current treat of studies and texts that dialogue with the studies of testimony born post- second World War because of the Shoah - We looking for in this article to dialogue with this second hillside, exposing the light of literary texts that representative way the disaster of the concentration camps and detention dictatorships in the Chile and in the Argentina. We consider here in particular works such as Hernan Valdes (1974), Jacobo Timermann (1982) and with special attention the work of Nora Strejilevich (1996). To undertake the discussion proposed here we dedicated to establish an instructive dialogue about the topic - dictatorship and testimony with authors of Latin American critics like Beverley & Achugar (2002) De Marco (2004) and Strejilevich (2006) and the European Agamben (2008) and Benjamin (1997).
