NUMERICAL ESTIMATION OF NOISE GENERATED BY HOMOGENEOUS AND ISOTROPIC TURBULENCE

摘要
Lighthill's acoustic analogy is combined with a numerical simulation of homogeneous and isotropic turbulence (Large Eddy Simulation in a cube) in order to evaluate the farfield noise. Numerical results show that, since we compute the noise of a subdomain of the entire source field, one of the analogy forms [equation (1)] largely overestimates noise generation. On the other hand, results obtained with the form 3 are in good agreement with Proudman's model.
