THE GROUND-STATE ENERGY OF THE SHALLOW BOUND POLARON IN TERNARY MIXED-CRYSTAL

摘要
In this paper, the ground state energy of the shallow bound polaron in ternary mixed crystal A(x)B(1-x)C is derived by variational method. The values of the ground state energy are calculated numerically for ternary mixed crystal A(lx)Ga(1-x)As. The energy level of the shallow bound polaron for A(lx)Ga(1-x)As vary nearly linearly and increase with increasing composition x.At the limits of x = 0 and x = 1, the results derived here are equivalent to the results for corresponding binary crystals BC,AC.
