EFFECT OF CAVITATION ON THE CREEP-RUPTURE PROPERTIES OF A CONVENTIONALLY CAST NICKEL-BASE SUPERALLOY

摘要
The effect of cavitation on the creep rupture properties of the conventionally cast IN-100 superalloy at different casting and heat treatment conditions is investigated. It is shown that the ductility of the alloy increases continuously with increasing the cavity size or cavity volume fraction. Using the parametric approach the activation energy for cavity growth is determined to be 219 kJ mol-1.
