Religious education, tolerance and citizenship in the public school

摘要
This article proposes that the quality of religious studies no-proselytist to the laic public school is to promote the education for the total citizenship. Founded on brief discussion on tolerance/intolerance and in the light of typical evidences from religious field Brazilian, we proposes speak about the notions of violence and citizenship and understand them like values of contemporaneous societies (elaborated in consequence of Enlighment). We interested on the challenge of to do this political philosophic reflection that mobilizes evidences from social life, an kind of pedagogic subsidy to the debate in class room, mediated by professor of religious education on the limits of tolerance and intolerance.
