摘要
We analyzed the unit cell dimensions of RETX phases (RE is a rare earth, T is an nd transition metal and X EQUVLNT Si or Ge) with the orthorhombic NiTiSi-type and hexagonal ZrBeSi-type crystal structures. A wide variety of dependence of a, b and c parameters on the diameter D//R//E of the rare earth component are accounted for on the basis of the interatomic contacts controlling the cell dimensions in each group of phases.
