摘要
The aim of this paper is to establish some guidelines for a simple development model based on natural resources and show how an economy can grow and develop from the linkages that tourism sector can generate. Following Jaime Ros (2001), the methodology proposed combines the Ricardo-Graham-Viner model and the staples thesis, allowing developing countries to invest in a leader sector in order to transit a growing path from natural resources. Development of industries that process goods from the primary sector (agroindustries) and tourism are a good opportunity for those developing countries with plenty of natural resources to grow. The result of this model is that natural resources exploitation in a country would lead to a rapid growth of the tourism sector, if it presents linkages with the domestic sector basically.
