摘要
Chronic genital infections are responsible for a reduction in sperm fertilizing capacity. The presence of polynuclear cells induces modifications in the membranes lipids and some bacteria are able to fasten to the spermatozoa tail and to provoque an asthenospermia. Spermioculture is meaningful only when positive results. When infection signs appear in the spermiogram, investigation of the genital tract is required. Before assisted reproduction, diagnosis and treatment are essential to obtain a sperm with the highest fertilizing ability.
