摘要
Experimental and theoretical studies on epitaxial relationships between f.c.c. and b.c.c. crystals, one as a deposit and the other as a substrate, have been reviewed. Simple criteria, based on geometrical lattice match and misfit strain energy considerations, are proposed to predict and explain favourable epitaxial relationships on various f.c.c.-b.c.c. interface orientations. Excellent applicability of the criteria is demonstrated for various observed epitaxial relationships not only on low index substrate planes but also on higher index and curved substrate surfaces.
