YIELDS OF CHARMED AND BOTTOM MESONS IN E+E- ANNIHILATIONS AT ROOT-S=10-178 GEV

摘要
Probability P(i) for the production of i-quark jets (i = u, d, s, c and b) in the e+e- annihilation has been studied based on the electroweak unified standard model. Probability P(i) is a function of energy square-root s. The calculated component ratios of P(u):P(d):P(s):P(c):P(b) are 4:1:1:4:1 for square-root s < 30 GeV, 7:9:9:7:9 for square-root s = m(z) = 91.16 GeV and 1:1:1:1:1 for square-root s = 78 and 117 GeV, respectively. Using P(c) and P(b), we have calculated the yields of charmed and bottom mesons in e+e- annihilations in the range of square-root s = 10-178 GeV.
