摘要
The article describes the use of a continuous potentiometric detector based on a solid electrolyte for the study of thermal decompositions of solid substances in which oxygen is set free. Various possibilities are discussed on how to use it for following the kinetics of decomposition, reoxidation and indirectly also the degree of conversion of further reactions. Attention is paid to the accuracy of the determination of the amount of liberated oxygen, mainly the effect of background. The detector tube was calibrated by decomposition of powdered Co3O4 and the method of measurement was also checked for further reactions of Co3O4 (reoxidation, reduction with ammonia).
