摘要
Our interest in highly exergonic thermal reactions of organic peroxides led us to the investigation of 1-phenylethyl peroxyacetate (1). Thermolysis of 1 in benzene solution gives a quantitative yield of acetic acid and acetophenone, 1 a small fraction of which is electronically excited. The reaction of 1 is catalyzed by a wide range of easily oxidized substances. © 1979, American Chemical Society. All rights reserved.
