摘要
The Programme for International Student Assessment -PISA, is an ongoing programme of the OECD, started in 1997. PISA is most representative as geographical coverage international assessment of students' achievements. PISA assess the extend to which students near the end of compulsory education have acquired some of the knowledge and skills that are essential for full participation in modern society. The assessment focuses on students' ability to use their knowledge and skills to meet real-life challenges. The main interest of the measurement in 2012 was in the mathematical literacy. This article is about the first findings from PISA 2012. The analyses are made in the contects of the factors that influence the students' performance. The national report on the national results in PISA 2012 is available on the internet site of the Centre for Control and Assessment of the Quility in School Education -www. ckoko. bg.
