摘要
Thermal convection occurs in a liquid when a thermal heat flux is applied to the bottom of a liquid which has a free surface in a gravitational field, and the surface is changed from its equilibrium state. Furthermore, the thermal convection becomes inhibited by applying a horizontal magnetic field to this liquid, corresponding to the strength of the magnetic field. Also an unstable oscillation occurs in the liquid, in the extremely limited range where the magnitude of the magnetic force is nearly equal to the magnitude of buoyancy.
