摘要
In eight incubation trials, the influence of light on the embryonic development of commercial White Leghorn eggs subjected for from 0 to 21 days of incubation to either incandescent continuous or intermittent light, was tested. This subjection led to; high percentage of dead embryos, delay in hatching time, depressed hatchability per cent, lower hatching weight, malformed feet, kgs, eyes and mandibles. The severity of this effect was more pronounced with the continuous than the intermittent light. In contrast, none of the same kind of eggs exposed to "no light" or darkness de-veloped of any aforementioned defects.
