LOW-ENERGY KBARN AND PION-HYPERON INTERACTIONS .2. APPLICATIONS OF K-MATRIX ANALYSIS

s-wave K-matrix parameters deduced from a previous analysis of K-p data are used to obtain the scattering lengths and low-energy behavior of the s-wave K̄N, πΛ, and π amplitudes. In addition, an application involving the use of KN forward-dispersion-relation sum rules to calculate values for the KΛN and KN coupling constants is given. We show that present ambiguities in the evaluation of the unphysical regions of these sum rules prevent a reliable calculation of the coupling constants being made at this time. We conclude that 3g2KΛp4π15 and g2K0p4π2.1. © 1969 The American Physical Society.
