University teaching: the university professor and his training

摘要
In this study developed the concepts of university teaching, university professor and teacher training based on authors such Pimenta and Anastasiou (2002), Zabalza (2004), Rios (2011), Cunha (2010a, 2010d) and Novoa (2009, 2011). The objective was to discuss theoretically and to reflect about the teaching and, more specifically, about who is the university professor and as occurs their training. The presented theories and analyzes show some underlying contradictions to the professor regarding their professional identity, "preparation" for teaching and professional knowledge.
