摘要
The negative-parity hyperon masses are calculated in the chiral bag model. The flavor contents of the hyperons are found to be different from what is found in the non-relativistic quark model. Using these new wave functions for the excited hyperons, the radiative decay widths of LAMBDA(1520) and LAMBDA(1405) to the ground states-LAMBDA and SIGMA-0 are determined. We find these widths to be much smaller than the non-relativistic quark model ones and explain why the two models give different predictions.
