LOW-ENERGY EXCITATIONS IN CDW COMPOUNDS INVESTIGATED BY LOW-TEMPERATURE SPECIFIC-HEAT

摘要
We have measured the specific heat on several charge density wave compounds (NbSe3, TaS3, KCP, (TaSe4)2I, K0.3MoO3) at very low temperatures (T≤1 K). All these quasi one-dimensional compounds exhibit an excess heat capacity contribution Cp following a Tν power law (ν < 1), with an amplitude reminiscent of the two-level systems contribution of disordered materials. © 1990, Elsevier Science Publishers B.V.
