摘要：
Real-time sonography has been proven to be useful in the evaluation of the traumatized scrotum, especially since in many instances the clinical assessment is quite limited. Testicular rupture is accurately diagnosed, thus leading to prompt surgical intervention. Hematoceles and areas of focal alteration in the texture of the testis corresponding to intratesticular infarction or hemorrhage can be identified. We report a case of a neonate with a deep scrotal injury from birth trauma that was diagnosed by sonography.
