摘要
A simple, accurate and rapid technique is described for the determination of sulphur-35 in labelled organic compounds using the gas flow monitoring counter. The organic material is ignited and the oxidation products are swept by means of the carrier gas argon, and concurrently with butane-butylene mixture are passed through the gas flow monitoring counter ready for registration of the passing activity. Analysis of a sample requires about 25-30 minutes and samples with specific activities as low as fractions of a nCi/mg can be readily measured. Other techniques for the assay of sulphur-35 are also reviewed and compared with our gas counting technique. © 1969.
