摘要
This study analyzes the impact in Argentina of both, marginalist economic perspectives and Italian nationalist economic thought, since the 1890's to the 1930's. It examines the spread of the ideas developed by W. Pareto and the Lausanne School (theories on welfare and distribution of wealth) as well as by the followers of fascist theories on protectionism and corporativism. Early introduction of Mathematics in the field of Economics in Argentine academic centers (University of Buenos Aires and University of Litoral) provided the milieu for the spread of paretian Economics as well as A. Marshall's insights on Political Economy. In the 1920's, academic journals and reviews mirrored the impact of marginalist thought. However, concepts on authoritarian leadership and corporativism turned to be incompatible with the ideas sponsored by Argentine academic reformism developed during the early 1920's (Reforma Universitaria).
