摘要
The catalytic, fully regioselective hydrocarboxylation of acrylic acid to methylmalonic acid is reported for the first time. This reaction, which involves Fe(CO)5 as catalyst precursor in the presence of Ca(OH)2 in a H2O-IPrOH mixture as solvent, is brought about at 70 °C under atmospheric carbon monoxide pressure. © 1990, American Chemical Society.
