READING OF PERSONAL NEUTRON DOSIMETERS ON THE MIRD PHANTOM

The calculated responses R(H) of two sorts of neutron personal dosemeters (albedo and etched track type) are compared, each of them attached to the ICRU sphere, which is the reference phantom for calibration, and to the anthropoid MIRD phantom representing the exposed individual. The directional dose equivalent H' (10) was chosen as the measuring quantity. Fields with monoenergetic neutrons from thermal to 14 MeV and broad spectra and with frontal and rotational incidence were considered.
