IDEAL OPTICAL SWITCHING BY NONLINEAR MULTIPLE (PARASITIC) CORE COUPLERS

摘要
Ideal nonlinear optical switching can be approached by placing a number of ‘parasitic’ cores in parallel with the original twin-core coupler. Significant improvement occurs with the addition of only one ‘parasitic’ core, requiring an increase in length of 40% that of the twin-core coupler. © 1990, The Institution of Electrical Engineers.
