WIDE TEMPERATURE SCALING LAW OF THE SECONDARY PEAK OBSERVED IN MAGNETIZATION CURVES OF SINGLE-CRYSTALS (LA,SR)2CUO4

Magnetization cur-ves of single crystals (La1-xSrx)2CuO4 with various Sr contents were measured. A distinct increase of magnetization with increasing applied field was observed in Sr overdoped compositions, when the magnetic field was applied perpendicular to the CuO2 plane. The field, B(pk), where magnetization showed a maximum value, was strongly dependent on temperature. Its dependence was expressed by a universal relation square-root B(pk) = c(x)[1 - T/T(c)(x)] over a wide temperature range; between 4.2 K and T(c). Possible mechanisms which give rise to the observed distinct secondary peak effect are discussed.
