PREPARATION AND PHYSICOCHEMICAL PROPERTIES OF HYDRATED OXIDES SOLS .1. ZIRCONIA SOL

Hydrated zirconia sol was prepared by electro-chemical method. It was shown that depending on the Cl/Zr ratio in the solution two fields with prevaling hydrolisis or polymerisation of Zr4 tetracomplexes were existed. Properties of the sols and xerosols were investigated by different physico-chemical methods. It was shown that the particles had average size 40-70 nm and 100-400 nm. The Zr4 complexes structure and particle dispersion did not change after drying and vacuumation of the sol at room temperature.
