摘要
Donald Trump's rise to the presidency of the United States and his constant controversy during the election campaign and his first year of Presidency, they have resulted in the gestation of a movement contrary to his new policies and xenophobic expressions. Noteworthy is the revival of the song protest, mitigated for the eight years of government by President Barack Obama. This movement has become thank to people knew for using their music to express a protest, together new allies that have been unwilling to remain silent facing what is happening in the great American power. This article analyzes the music of Richard Wagner as an instrument of exaltation of myths of Nordic origin as a form of construction of the German identity, during Century XIX. Using a variety of publications on the composer and the process of German unification, in addition to analyzing some of his operas, he sought to demonstrate how his compositions were used within the Romantic movement of the XIX century to create a sense of identity that made that at the time of the creation of the German State, it already had a constituted nation.
