CORRELATION BETWEEN ELECTRICAL-CONDUCTION AND MICRODROP SIZE DISTRIBUTION IN THE OCTANE WATER SODIUM DODECYL-SULFATE PENTANOL SYSTEM

摘要
The phase (structural) transitions in the octane-water-sodium dodecyl sulfate-pentanol system were investigated. The average hydrodynamic and most probable (effective) microdrop sizes were found in a wide range of values of the volume fraction of water PHI (from 0.02 to 0.83) by photon correlation spectroscopy. The applicability of the cell model for describing the specific conduction as a function of the effective microdrop size in the region of low PHI above the conduction percolation threshold was established.
