摘要：
In the daily work, there are various situations where you can see the ways in which mathematics is seen. Here is the result of a research in the career of Business Administration of the Autonomous Regional University of the Andes, which is evident, considering diagnoses made on the level of knowledge that students admitted to the career have, flaws in the mathematical logical reasoning and the ability to solve problems with the help of mathematical tools. In the development of the research, a methodological strategy is proposed to approach the mathematics, allowing to go beyond a merely mechanical procedure in the resolution of real problems through the Mathematical Modeling.
