摘要
The interaction of a wide beam of intense 10.6-mu-m and 9.4-mu-m laser radiation with atmospheric CO2 is studied. The threshold spectroscopic effect of explosive absorption have been obtained. In this effect the absorption coefficient of the atmosphere increases sharply owing to strong self-heating (DELTA-T approximately 700-1000 K) of the beam channel.
