摘要
Boron carbide was synthesized by direct inductive heating of a charge of boron oxide and carbon black. A high-frequency generator (frequencies of several megahertz) was used for synthesis; the charge was heated in a reactor made of dielectic material. The influence of frequency, voltage, specific resistance of a charge, and the geometric parameters of the inductive volume on the synthesis conditions and the physical-chemical mechanism of the process have been studied.
