CIRCULAR-DICHROISM AND MAGNETIC CIRCULAR-DICHROISM SPECTRA OF PHENYLALANINE AND ITS DERIVATIVES

摘要
Circular dichroism (CD) and magnetic circular dichroism (MCD) spectra of phenylalanine and its derivatives have been observed in aqueous or EPA solution and in PVA film at room temperature and 77 K. MCD spectra corrected for the intrinsic CD have been compared with the intrinsic CD spectra under reversal of the magnetic field direction. MCD spectra show remarkable pH dependence at pH values higher than 9 in aqueous solution. The expected inversion symmetry under reversal of the magnetic field is not found for MCD spectra of phenylalanine and its derivatives. © 1979.
