EFFECT OF CYCLIC DEFORMATION ON POSITRON LIFETIMES IN COPPER AND ALUMINUM

摘要
Positron lifetimes in annealed and cyclically deformed aluminum and copper were measured by the delayed coincidence method. The deformation increased the lifetime of the primary component by 26% in Al and by 46% in Cu. It is proposed that trapping of positrons in dislocation cores can account for the observations. © 1989.
