Stealth technology was used to reduce the Radar Cross Section (RCS) of both the F-117A Stealth fighter aircraft and the Flying Wing B-2 bomber in order to improve their combat survivability. In Part I of this paper, the history and background of this technology was reviewed. In Part II these new Stealth aircraft are discussed, Stealth materials and design concepts are presented, and new technology systems being developed to detect these Stealth aircraft are summarized.
