EFFECTS OF CORIOLIS PERTURBATION ON NORMAL-PARITY ROTATIONAL BANDS OF ODD-MASS NUCLEI

摘要
The puzzling behavior of the M1 transitions in a normal-parity band of Dy-163 observed recently is studied in the framework of the particle-rotor model. Characteristic features of the M1 transitions as well as the energy spectrum are well reproduced by the present calculation. We have found that the Coriolis interaction gives rise to an appreciable amount of rotation alignment. A remarkable point of the result is that the alignment of a level comes not from all the j's around but from a few specific j-orbitals. The resultant rotational bands are well characterized by the j's which contribute to their rotation-alignment.
