摘要
The polarization-averaged total interaction rate for the joining of two highly excited strings into one string is calculated. The calculation is performed by taking the average over all states in the given excitation levels of the initial strings. We find that the total interaction rate grows with the energy and momentum of the initial states. © 1990.
