摘要
Matrix-induced autologous chondrocyte implantation is a third-generation autologous chondrocyte implantation technique that can be used for treating chondral and osteochondral lesions. Harvested chondrocytes are expanded in number and seeded onto a type I/III collagen membrane. The matrix-induced autologous chondrocyte implantation graft is secured within the debrided defect with fibrin sealant, which produces a stable reconstruction. Most clinical experience relates to its use in the knee joint, where a number of series report good clinical outcome up to 5 years postsurgery. (C) 2006 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
