PERFORMANCE OF FAST FOURIER-TRANSFORMS ON VECTOR COMPUTERS

The subroutine library FFTVPLIB was developed for Siemens vector computers, as part of the ODIN-cooperation [1]. It covers a range of different forms of Fourier transformations and yields high performance by automatic selection of optimal vectorization methods. The performance of FFTVPLIB and other routine is compared for different vector architectures.
