DIODE-LASER JET SPECTROSCOPY OF HEXAFLUOROBENZENE IN THE 10-MU-M REGION

摘要
The absorption spectrum of hexafluorobenzene (C6F6) around 10 μm has been measured in a pulsed supersonic jet using diode lasers. In the jet spectra the most intense room temperature features at 1000 and 1022 cm-1 are rotationally resolved. They arise from two perpendicular hands, one of which (1022 cm-1) is predominantly the v13 C-F stretching fundamental, while the other is a combination band of the same c1u symmetry in Fermi resonance with it. The upper state of the 1022 cm-1 band is also perturbed and this perturbation has been analyzed in terms of a local Rz-Coriolis interaction. Two other weak bands at 1002 and 1012 cm-1 have also been observed. A set of effective parameters for these hands have been derived. The origins of the main bands are 999.28729(6) and 1022.28442(6) cm-1. © 1994 Academic Press, Inc.
